Finance products: Debt consolidation loans, home improvement loans, Tuition loans, Payday loans, Car Loans etc. haven been making online finance market for the affiliates till end of 2007. I myself know many finance affiliates who have been making more than £50K/month money online through above mentioned products, especially debt consolidation and home improvement (secured loans). Mostly these finance programs that were paying highest amounts were based in UK while US also has been great market but with less rates than UK.
The extent can be seen by google adwords trend that was costing around £5-8/click for the most hot keywords. This has been the case till end of 2007. Whats now?
Credit crunch in existing economy crisis affected finance industry adversely. Obviously people has less buying power, loosing jobs or low paid jobs won't appreciate availing a loan, esp secured loans. So inquires reduced by a great factor for above mentioned products. The CPA rates that was around £125 / lead at max. is now around £30-40/lead.
As such crises in one hand can be opportunity on other side. Where loan inquires are reduced incredibly the bankruptcy rate is increased in US and UK. Every month no. of searches made in google is increasing around the world.
As affiliate we have to think and keep an eye to make our earnings more stable and long term. Otherwise the products/services hot today, that are well designed to make money online will be vanished soon and by not keeping up to dated we will make this field/industry an unstable for reference to others as i am "work from home" success.
